Dog Breeding Tips

Dogs have always been a very popular pet for people and with that there is a lot of people the venture into breeding them. It isn't quite as easy as most people anticipate, that is why I'm going to share with you some of my dog breeding tips to help you be more successful.

Have a vet examine your female dog before any attempt at mating. Make sure the dog has a clean bill of health and isn't carrying any diseases. Diseased dogs pass these onto their pups.

When you're breeding check for the purity of the dog you're using. There should be a certificate. Cross breeding isn't considered high quality.

You'll want to find a reputable breeder for a stud. This will ensure the quality of pups will be top quality. Don't have your female dog breed with just any dog.

You will also want to get a health certificate from the stud dog to ensure he has a full bill of health. The last thing you need is your dog breeding with a diseased dog.

It is more desired for the mating to occur in the stud dogs environment, rather than the female dogs environment.

Try to keep your female dog as calm as possible during mating.

Make an appointment with a vet after three weeks of mating to find out if she is pregnant

These are some of the dog breeding tips I have used with great success. Follow them and remember to be patient, since this can take sometime. Don't skip steps because you could end up with much larger problems if you don't.
